As a long term motorsport fan, I've never been to Bathurst. After watching the live stream this year I'm going to try and pop my cherry by going next year.

Should be interesting.

AA reporting that the British affiliate of Triple Eight Race Engineering are keen on entering a pair of BMW Z4's and Andy Priaulx as a possibility to fill one of the spots. Will believe it when they're on the grid !!

Well, at least they have (and race) the cars. Always dependent on funding, but it's not a completely absurd idea.

I don't think they two Triple 8 organizations have anything much to do with each other anymore anyway? The British one spawned Dane's but I think he's pretty much gone his own way.

Webber 50:50 for Bathurst 12 Hour

Porsche Cars Australia Director Public Relations, Paul Ellis, was coy when quizzed but stated that it would be “very unlikely” an official PCA entry would front the starter in 2015.

If Porsche (factory) were going to roll Weber out for a GT3 sportscar race they would rather send him to the Rolex, isn't that only a week before

I wouldn't expect Mark to race often (or ever again) in Australia.

Unlike our former F1 World Champions or Le Mans winners he has shown little enthusiasm to race in Australia.

I could see him at B12 but not in V8s. He has shown little enthusiasm for that category. If he wanted to race in a Porsche at B12 with a few mates I doubt the factory would mind too much unless they wanted him to drive in a certain car. And in his case I don't think we'd see that. His contract prolly covers WEC and promo stuff and that's it. He's not like a regular Porsche factory driver that goes and races wherever they are sent. I'm sure Porsche could ask him nicely but at the end of the day I highly doubt his contract covers anything other then the LMP program.

We currently have 14 members joined our Tenths Social Group for the diehards that love the Bathurst 12 hour and GT racing in general. There have been some issues with a few of the invited members not getting their invite, so check your messages.

I would love to meet the group however my officiating role always sees me working whilst others are enjoying themselves.
A case of one of the first in and last out so please have one for me.

No worries. This particular Social Group is just a sub forum of ten tenths that many of us never knew existed.

With 10 months still to go until the next great 12 hour, what is on your wish list, whether it be a team(s), car(s) or driver(s) ? For me, i would be pretty happy with last years GT3 field with the addition of the Vita4One BMW Z4's and their factory drivers, an international Porsche GT3-R with factory drivers, Black Falcon Merc's, a competitive Aston and would love to see Loeb.

I'll put on the Nissan/Nismo merchandise I bought at the B12 and hope that Nissan come back with 2 GT# GT-Rs, ... and also an invite for a 370Z as run for James Moffat at the Dubai 24 hour.

Results there had it nearly 3 seconds faster than some GT4 cars, but a good 10 seconds slower than the podium getting GT3s.

Also, I need at least 1 Aston in there, and the Z4s can enter and actuall come next year - please!

That stunning Bentley is still on my wish list. And whoever it is that runs the factory Corvettes.

There are no factory corvettes in GT3. Surely you are thinking of the GTE class cars raced in the US by Corvette Racing.

Hoping for BMW Z4 to actually appear next year. Pipe dream but I wish it was Marc VDS those guys are on top of their game

There actually was some chat (not because its April 1st) of a Bentley perhaps coming down here in a 'works' capacity for an existing driver/team.

The price is also said to be absolutely eye watering however.... Imagine spending more than 888 does on one of its cars to run for a season

It probably sounds good though...
