Sounds like there is some grumbling in the GA paddock regarding the DPG3's. Racecar Engineering has an article with quotes from Max Angelelli, saying how the cost and time frame were prohibitive for many of the teams. He thinks 80% of the teams will still be with the old cars.

Well, Riley will have the new generic body and since almost everybody runs a Riley, quite a few teams will switch to that, so I think the split between old and new cars will be around 70-30 in favor of the new cars - if not for the 24 then later in the season...

I've been wondering when we would see the Corvette DP, and it looks like it may be debuted at the SEMA show next week in Las Vegas (according to Mr De Lorenzo).

Thought the Grand Am 458 had been canned as it was uncompetitive and would cost to much to get it competitive?

Whats the deal with the schedule? Is it normal for it to be released this late? Surely it would be tough to convince sponsors to come on board without being able to tell them where you'll be racing.

So Montreal is back? I hadn't heard anything about the deal being re-upped or what the status was. Also, if Grand-Am drops the Memorial Day Lime Rock date, the ALMS needs to pick it up for various reasons.

Well, with the mess in IndyCar, everybody else's schedules are kind of up-in-the-air until the boys at Indy get things sorted on their end.

Another point of view---from the guy with the easiest sponsor hunt!
@jfoster4055 Joe Foster Really really frustrated with the lack of a complete Grand Am schedule. This is seriously hampering the search for proper sponsorship! |
