I thought the McLaren GTE would not appear until later in the year? (Then again, we said the same thing about Manthey and the 991). Absolutely no chance of any BMW, Lexus, or NSX at Le Mans though.

Only later in the season and after Le Mans. The list posted here is just rampant speculation and has only strenuous links with reality in places. (Sorry Beetle, but that's the truth)

From what I've heard I don't think McLaren will be rolled out in time for Le Mans.

Hope to be proved wrong. But certainly some interesting things going on in Woking.

I haven't even heard ANYTHING about the Lexus LFA coming to Le Mans. I know that Acura is planning to launch a 2-3 car GTE factory program with world class drivers in 2014 in the WEC. Jaguar is planning the same as early as next year. I don't think the Bailey LMP2 car is going to happen... not enough updates on their website.

What about Kessel Racing? They're doing 3 cars in the Gulf 12 hours and were in the ELMS last year... could they possibly race in the 24 Hours of Le Mans with Broniszewski, Philipp Peter, and Davide Rigon?

What about the LMP2 Deltawing idea? Far out... but anything's possible.

I didn't know that Julian and Zugel left Greaves. I also didn't know about Sam Hancock... or Jorg Muller. Is there a possibility Hancock could go to AMR and race the Vantage like he did in 2011? In that case, the entry list is as follows...

Not when he has an Indycar title to defend and there's a 120% possibility that an Indycar race will clash either with the Le Mans test day or with the race itself.

That list exceeds the 56 cars grid capacity. You also have Makowiecki and Melo with AF Corse, Melo is no longer a factory driver and Mako has never been one. And Vilander with ESM? I really doubt that's going to happen in a race where AF Corse is present.

Beetle, you have a Pro-Am lineup in the 99 AMR Vantage. I wouldn't bother with an entry list for at least another month if I were you. There is too much uncertainty, realistically 60% of the text in that list is either red or green, especially in the GT classes.

Start with confirmations and work your way to 56. Don't start with 100 cars and work your way to 70...

I'm not trying to be a dictator of this thread, but constructive thoughts, links, and ideas about driver lineups, teams participating or not, and things of that nature are really the only things necessary.

That's a very good point. Who do you think would be a suitable replacement? And if it would be a gentleman driver, wouldn't that delegate the #93 to GTE-Am? That would be a crying shame.

Impossible, a factory team would go to Le Mans with cars in the latest possible specification and those are not allowed in GTE-Am.

Agreed why some people are chastised for being enthusiastic and contributing is beyond me. Its great to watch the entry list gradually develop from pure speculation to the actual thing.

The point I was trying to make was that it would be far less frustrating to take it on in another month or so. Don't feel like you need to update the list every day or after every change. That would put Bleekemolen out of the running for Rebellion unless Rebellion can't find a 3rd driver for the #12 either. Good news on Mathias Beche... always thought he was a fast, consistent driver worthy of LMP1 racing.

I had typed out a response earlier but hit the backspace key and ended up going back a few pages instead of spaces. Thank you very much! Same with me, actually... I was already a bit frustrated putting out fires about the exact same problem with some other users. So I was probably overly harsh myself... oh dear, dear, dear.

I posted the link to the new entry list. Can you view it fine? It's just a lot easier for me to format Microsoft Word than the forum posts. Plus it looks a lot better.
