Ah yes, the Safeguarding Officer - Motorsport UK contacted AROC recently to remind us we needed to appoint such an august individual...we tried to argue that we didn't run any competitive events, and didn't have any minors as members, but were told that it wasn't just children but vulnerable adults that we had to cater for.....and then found we did have two 17 year-old members, anyway



I still don't see why its any of Motorsport UK's business.......but I suppose we'll have to comply in some way shape or form, but as a Club which is sub-divided into around 30 local Sections I've no idea how it could work...

We had to get time off work and book urgent flights, and were fortunate that most of the damage was superficial, but one of the two beds was missing, and virtually anything else that wasn't nailed down, like standard lamps, most of the cutlery etc was missing, and cupboard doors were hanging off. Cost us a grand or so (back in the late 80s) to make it habitable again. Only ever let it out to people we knew after that.....

Regarding the mate of mine who found all the locks changed and people actually living in it.
They had all the relevant paperwork that had been faked and claimed that they had bought it for cash from someone in a bar, it took him a year to get them out legally plus thousands of pounds as well. He sold it as soon as he could.

No particular reason, I just felt like abusing someone

But out of 'respect' I apologise unreservedly, improvements have already been made, and a full judicial enquiry has been launched to be led by a senior member of my household. A full report will be published when all of the evidence has been collated, and witness statements taken. We anticipate that the report will be completed early in 2024, subject to any restrictions, that may be in place at that time. Note all participants must have up-to-date Covid passports or proof of three vaccine jabs.

Gordon, I fail to see what you find lucky in this situation, some fraudster is stealing you money, and you seem to think this is a good thing.

If you truly do not want the money, I could find a use for it, to pay this months energy bill. for instance. Have you not seen my TV adverts 'The Aging Bauble Appeal'. they are on ITV everyday, all day. So do the decent thing, if you won't send the £15, loads of noughts, than just give £2.0 a week, and save someone form grinding poverty. I'm watching it now, and am surprised that there appears to be very few spectators at this great track. I can remember watching F1 cars there so many years ago, especially navigating the corkscrew.

But I do want the money and I have been in touch with the bank account and given them all my details. Funny thing is that it appears that some of my money has disappeared but I have been assured that it's just for the admin.
