Ah yes, Halfords when they were properly Halfords.

I also have a smaller version of the toolbox. As I recall the larger one, like yours, was originally my Father's and the smaller one was mine and used for the everyday "carry with you" items and tools. It was more suited to a Mini's carrying capacity than the large box.

Toolbox, a few emergency spare parts (Spark plugs, points, dynamo brushes, etc., a gallon of Duckhams and quite often a container of water were all part of the regular kit.

Well, it was a long while ago and not something I did often but I did have a few problems with one particular car and there may have been a reason why ...
