Title Decider
Like most of you, I really don't want to see the WDC decided early in Hungary or Belgium because the rest of the season just isn't as good without a close fought title battle going on. Sorry Ferrari fans, but PLEASE god can we just have a few mechanical drama's for the Scuderia to open up the title race, PLEASE !!
Would'nt it be great if like the World Rally Championship last year, there were 3 or 4 drivers going into the last couple of rounds with a shout at the title. I for one would get up at four in the morning to watch a title battle at Suzuka if it happens this year. My dream situation: 'After a year of high drama where the championship lead has swapped many times, DC, Montoya and Michael Schumacher line up on the grid at Suzuka with the WDC and constructor's title still undecided' Well, I can dream can't I !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Also, only 42 days left till the lights go out in Melbourne, can't wait |

I don't give a dime for the last race melodrama; actualy I was sure that the racing was important (of course, the guys who you support gotta win) Sitting in the grandstand and your favorite team and favorite driver winning 2(two) championships is really sweet, I guarantee . I'm planning to go at Imola, but let's be realist: he can't make it in such short notice. So, please guys, don't win any championships before Hungaroring, will ya Mike?

Like the good old days, I wouldn't mind seeing the WDC wrapped up in front of the tifosi. Only I want to see Ferrari go down in front of them!!!

I would like it to go down to the wire... I know it won't happen but I'd love to see a battle for the WDC between JPM & KR, with GF winning his first race tucked in somewhere along the way.

Why does everybody leave out Ralf's name when talking about the WC contenders?. I, for one, really feels that he has what it takes. More so then DC, anyway .

Mclaren and Williams reliability is where it wil be decided.
Oh, and tyres. The Constructor's title will be much harder, I think, than last year. There again, with Mclaren and Williams forming a split opposition perhaps Ferrari can do well with fewer wins. Comes down to number two drivers perhaps - and Ferrari are definately at a disadvantage on that score. |

i'd prefer to see the wdc go to the wire, but it always seems that once the wdc has been wrapped up early (i.e hungary) the drivers seem to "relax" more for want of a better word and we see more racing on the track as if they are enjoying themselves more! or an i just imagining it??

I didn't vote, because I think the title will be decided in early Feb., when TGF takes a spin in the new Ferrari for the first time...

I don't care if the WDC goes down to the wire or not, just as long as Montoya wins it!
Erm, to answer the question, I think he wraps it up at Indy... Last edited by R; 24 Jan 2002 at 08:42. |
