Blimey, those GTS Ferraris are quick. I see Gavin has managed to pull a quick one out of his Vette to split the Prodrive cars though. I really hope the Vettes and 550s are reliable - I'm watching that battle with interest!

www.lemans.org suggests that it was Collins who set the Fastest Vette's time. Or I'm reading their chart wrong.

Im going to go out on a limb here but I think the Ferrari 550s of Prodrive MIGHT dip into the late 3:49s. At the moment the pole time is already 7 tenths faster than the time they set for Pole last year. Still the GTS time that has yet to be beaten was from 2001 when the factory Saleen S7R's were there and gavin set a 3:52.886.
Good to see the Porsches lapping 2 seconds a lap faster than last years Pole time though. I was REALLY suprised by that, I knew the air restrictor hadnt had much if any affect on their speed in the test day but they have really pushed the parcel out so far. |
