Formula Saloons - history of cars ?
Anyone got any info on the history of the super tourers competing in the Formula Saloons series ? I believe that the Audi is a French Supertourisme car repainted to look like a genuine BTCC car but how about the others ? The Accords and the Primeras ? Who build, owned and raced them and how did they get into the hands of their current owners ?

Our Nissan Primera was raced by Eric van de Poele and run by Team Rosberg in 1997 before racing in Czech Rebublic.
2002 was a bad year for the team with a multitude of mechanical problems culminating in a large crash at Brands a couple of weeks ago, never mind theres always next year !! Glad to see so many fans of super touring on the forum, as long as they enjoy it we will keep racing !!! |

Peter Challis 96 Nissan ex- Keke Rosberg spainish championship, bought from Michael Woodcock who bought from Pontus Morth in Sweden. Derek Hale 96 Nissan as stated above. Simon Dickinson 99 Honda ex-ETCC Graham Coomes 2 x 97 Honda's bought from Honda UK also has 96 Nissan 4x4 ex-works development car ( only one in existance ) Andy Clarkin 96 Honda ex-Russian St Championship winner Bought from Garry Woodcock who bought it from Lee Brookes. Andy Allen 96 Honda ex- Russian ST and test car bought from Michael Woodcock who bought it from Pro-drive. Steve Hirst 95 Audi ex- Belgium Car. Nigel Bowen 95 Vauxhall ex-Mint Car Alvin Powell 2000 Mondeo ex- Menu car bought from Pro-drive.Also has 93 Mondeo ex- Radisich World cup 2.2 Car and 94 Mondeo Valvoline car. Chris Crockett 2000 Mondeo as Alvin but Reid's. Mark Clements 97 Nissan Ex-works bought from Garry Woodcock who bought it from Tommy Rustat in Sweden. Others who have cars but not out this year. Brian Chatfield 97 and 98 Nissan ex Matt Niel, 98 Toyota ex Rouse. Billy Mc Millan 98 Alpha ex-ETCC. John Patterson 98 Honda ex-works bought from Honda UK. Ross Coburn 2 x 98 Honda ex-DC Cook cars.
