RIKB should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Today Ford celebrate their 500th BTCC win with Menu's lights to flag victory in the Sprint race!

Speaking about this achievement Menu said,"It's a fantastic feeling to have taken the 500th BTCC victory for Ford and I'm happy to be the one to do it. It's an amazing achievement for a manufacturer to be so dominant and I'm sure there will be many more victories to come in the future."

Dominant ? Has the guy been asleep since 1993 ? They're only doing so well this year as the decent teams quit the series.

The guy's a clot.

Excuse me for being cynical but how are Ford celebrating win number 500? I remember and indeed still have the poster to prove it, that the Mondeo's 1st win in 1993 was their 200th. Anyone able to shine some light on this matter?

At a guess the 200 was race wins, the 500 included class wins (remember it's only since 1992 that it's been a single class).

The series started in 1958 which by my maths means you need around 12 races a year to have reached 500. Given that the last few years we've had 24-26 races per year that's easily possible. Also if if is class wins you could theoretically score 2 or more class wins at any one race.
