RaceTime should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
CAMS Knows how to increase their fees

http://www.cams.com.au/bulletins/B02-45.pdf

No comment could state how I feel about the gutless way this has been announced....very very quiet.

Very large fees compared to what we pay,as an example for my Superkart (k5) licence in NZ I pay $80 and about the same for club membership.

Have you guys seem the 2001 CAMS Annual Report yet?

I've pulled a lot of info out of it, and it makes for some saddening reading.

The motorkhana, hillclimb, sprints etc division would up with an $800,000 loss, most of that attributed to admin costs... and as the report states, "each competitor has a $106 share" of it.... crazy?

If you want a summary, drop me an email....

It's my summary- ideally I want to get it out in the next QRDA newsletter, to give them something new, but I'll let the world have it after that.

But at least the Annual has a good photo on the cover

It just shows CAMS are good at something. Just wish it wasn't increasing fees.

There are some huge hikes there, and then some others have only changed slightly or not at all.
This might sound stupid, but why wouldn't they have increased the fines? God only know they make enough money there.

Actually, the number of penalties are significantly down...

Even though CAMS spend an awful lot of money on insurance (which they have to), they seem to spend an awful lot on admin, travel etc...
