I think its just a favor for Toyoat. He's more likely to end up at the proposed Haas IRL team than Penske

Maybe this is a demonstration as to how the politics of Toyota's driver selection will work- they pluck McNish out of the series he's good at to get a late F1 chance, dump him after one season in a poor car, and then offer him the second prize of a chance in a series he has no interest in.

Definitely the wrong forum. But anyway I expect Nishy will gdt a ride with one of the many Audi teams starting up next year in sports cars.

There is no drive at Penske for him. It's to return the favour they did for Castro-Neves. I'sd hire McNish if I was running a CART team next year and anyone who runs one and hires him will be doing themselves a favour.
