Niels Langeveld will return to TCR Italy in 2023. He will drive a Honda Civic FL5 from MM Motorsport.

Funny how two similar and geographically close series (TCR Italy and Germany) have such a difference in grid!

How is the rest of the racing scene in both countries?

Good to see a huge entry, same as F4.

Italy:
TCR - booming
F4 - booming

Germany:
TCR - as good as dead
F4 - dead
DTM - just another GT3 series

Massive grid in Imola, 43 cars!!

Probably not sustainable during the years buth right now it's a great Championship, good quality too.

The downside remains the crashes and time cut during the races. They need to sort it with harsher penalty.

Good race1 win for the young Marco Butti!

Good debut for the new Civic, very fast on the straights (!)

ADAC is completely preoccupied with doing something with DTM. It seems everything else is forgotten about now.

Packed grids last year in the sprint races (mid 30s to low 40s). The endurance races weren't supported as well but still had grids in the 20s.

It's a shame how far German racing has fallen, it used to have some of the best championships in Europe.

The attempted revival of DTC with small hatchbacks failed to get off the ground as well. A shame because I'd love to see some lower level saloon car racing with current models which isn't single-make.

I came across this news few weeks ago. The format of the series with cars like Hyundai, Peugeot and Renault looked good.

Deplorable driving standards at Mugello this weekend. At least 3 intentional incidents. About 80% of the "racing" was behind the safety car.

Crashing under double waved yellows today. All the drivers in this series need the book thrown at them.

And I wish the commentators would stop talking over one another. It's very annoying and I don't even understand Italian!

Much better behaviour in Race 2, great race with good battles.

Although 40 cars with many amatuers is really too much, around 30 cars would have been ideal.

Don;t know what Casagrande was thinking with such a dangerous manouver under double yellows

Marco Butti won the last two races.
Franco Girolami is the 2023 champion.
