Watson: It doesn't matter what I think.
Finally, we agree on something. Rast should not be penalised. You shouldn't have to brake for another car moving on a straight. If the regulations say a Pro must brake for an Am, then the regulation is ridiculous. |

If that regulation is correct, it is at least consistent with SRO's push to make Blancpain more "gentleman-friendly." On second viewing, Rast doesn't have anywhere to go. Hard braking down to Eau Rouge isn't an option either. |

Somehow we're down to only 8 on the lead lap again. 998 is the final car on the lead lap that time around.

At some parts of the track, some cars are looking for the wet spotsto preserve their tires

The SCs after the FCYs has absolutely destroyed the Pro/Am and Am battles. If the lead car is between 2 Pro/Am cars, then rather than a 10-second gap between the cars, it is artificially lengthened to a full lap. The result is cars with close performance are now 4-5 laps apart.
This is exactly what the IMSA wave-around is designed to prevent. SROs system is a step backwards for multi-class racing. |

If the SC is there to get the speeds up - like John always says - they could also introduce FCY phase 2: 120 (or 150 or whatever) instead of 80 and do that for a lap (leader on start /finish to leader on start/finish). That would keep all gaps intact. |

Varsha seems to think Paffett is in position. Meanwhile, Watson tries to work out "Rock, Scissors, what's the other one?"

That was really unsporting behaviour, mr. Paffett.

That's all rather messy - Paffett & Christensen, Christensen & Buurman, Paffett & Christensen Rd 2, Paffett & Mies. One or more of those cars could easily have been taken off.
Meanwhile, Jarvis is still ahead of the lot of them! Edit - Buurman can't get past Jarvis, Christensen re-takes the position. |

Mies has passed Paffett (not for position). But Mies is behind Jarvis on track, so that's a battle that'll happen once this Nissan is dropkicked out of the way by a frustrated lead lap car.

All that effort for lap after lap to get past Jarvis, and Mies does it in the first corner he catches the Nissan!

EDIT: It seems to have been, though... |

Buurman & Christensen pit, with 3h 16 minutes to go.
They are on the limit for two more stops to the end. The #1 has more leeway thanks to the assistance from the SC. Edit - Slicks for the #4? |

#2 takes slicks. I wonder what the 4 and 20 took.
Or 99? Olsen was superb on slicks on a semi-wet track duing the night |
