We've been missing Sparky for a couple of weeks now.
In one of my posts I said I'd hoped nothing bad has happened to him.
Unfortunetaly, it has!
Sparky has been seriously injured while preparing a race car in mid December.
He has regained conciousness just a little while ago.
He will still have to stay in hospital for a couple of weeks.
If you like to say something to him or his family, you can do it here.

I too was sorry to hear that Sparky has been injured. It is another reminder (as if we need it) that the sport we love is a dangerous one for those who participate.

Well I would just like to say to Steve 'Get Well Soon' and also I would just like to say that we might be lucky to still have him here! He could have been killed for all that you know! Anyway I don't want that to be the feeling as RIKB said the sport we love is a dangerous one and the one we all love!

I haven't contacted Sparky's family since I last received an e-mail from his wife.
Since this must have been and probably still is an emotional occurrence I thought it better to leave them alone as much as possible.
However, I share Invader's thoughts, and like him and many others, I'm still concerned.
Therefore I agree in sending an e-mail to express these concerns to his family.
I do not know if the time is right for them to respond, but if they do, I will notify everybody on this board immediately at this forum.
