Zolder, Valencia and Croix
I am hoping to visit these circuits this year for the first time.
Anyone got any tips about them? Are they any good for photos, camping, food etc. Any help gratefully received. |

Croix is a tiny little circuit but I quite enjoyed my trip two years ago. It is very compact and the paddock is very small. I think there is a small cafeteria place but I only ate from the burger stand (not quite sure what the burgers were made of, but they tasted OK...).
Not sure how could it will be for photos, I only really watched from the roof of one of the paddock buildings. Possibly one or two opportunities. Don't know about camping either, I was fortunate to be put up in a hotel in Montreuil, which was lovely. I imagine that the facilities, including the toilets which I did sample, are a bit basic. Oh, and it rained A LOT when I was there and everywhere got very, very wet. |

Valencia has been built purely for spectators. The grandstands completely surround the track. Valencia is more or less flat and you can see 90% of the circuit from where you sit. Get a seat at the first corner and your be fine.

I've heard a lot of complaints about Zolder, as far as photographs are concerned (lot's of advertising blocking the view etc.)
I think it should be OK, but I'm no photographer |

thanks for all the info. Bit daunting to go to a new circuit but when it is in a different country then even more so.
Marvellous aerial shots of Croix - doesn't look like the dump I was lead to believe it was. Obviously they have improved a lot. |

as far as i've heard about Croix, it's a little bit like a kart track....but isn't, if you're with me never heard it described as a dump before, but having never been there, wouldn't know. there's loads of guys on here that have though, tis only "just over channel."

Croix used to be a dump 'till about 10 years ago. It has improved since.
The loos still are (err...) typical French. |

you're putting the words "france / french" and toilets in the same sentence eddy...
don't let eddy's french toilet dislike put you off, it's survivable! |

Seriously, Croix isn't a bad track. A bit like Lydden. It has a long straight, followed by some very twisty bits and one or two fast corners. Haven't been there for a while myself, but a friend visited in October and said it has improved well.

that is a circuit map...quite often used or visited by british series as it is only 60 miles from calais, so handy to get to
the circuit that is, not the map..... |

Zolder has undergone quite a few changes fairly recently making if a lot worse for spectators (same as a lot of places).
