Rossifumi should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I hope he will fully recover from this. This is not the way to end a career and he won't!

I will keep my fingers crossed for the operation!

Honda World Superbike racer Aaron Slight is having surgery tomorrow for a brain hemorrhage condition known as "arteriovenous malformation".

It's a pretty serious situation he's in, so my thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family. He's one of the toughest racers and one of the nicest guys out there, if anyone is capable of pulling through this situation, it's him.

Best wishes Aaron, hope to see you well and fit at the first round of the Superbike Championship!

Some bits of news are well hidden, I hadn't heard that one.

Good luck Aaron.

Aaron has apparently had the condition his entire life, which has only just recently surfaced in the past six months or so.

Good news: He came through the operation today and is resting comfortably. The surgeons said they've achieved everything they wanted in the operation to repair/replace the broken blood vessel.

Best wishes Aaron!

He has been moved from intensive care to a recovery ward, however they have no idea on recovery time or whether he will ever race again,it may be two days, two weeks, two years or never.

This does leave the unfortunate question of who will ride the Honda until Aaron returns?

He has been released from hospital,a week earlier than expected still with blurred vision and some pain, they believe his exceptional fitness is accelerating his recovery,he will back for a check up in about a week and we should know more then.

I followed Aaron around the European rounds of the WSB two years ago and got to speak to him a couple of times. All snatched conversations in the pits during practice when he and the other riders had their minds on other things - like winning. Aaron was so polite and friendly he stood head and shoulders above his opposition. He impressed me by answering everyone's questions before leaving. None of the other riders did that and most (including Foggy) just barged past. My hat goes off to him and I hope that if any rider takes the title of Carl, then I hope it's Aaron.

At a interview this week Aaron (complete with massive scar) said he was hoping to be back racing at Phillip Island, and he will be there as a spectator if nothing else,Simon Crafar has been contracted to Honda to race for the first three rounds, hopefully if he does well he may get further rides.
