I have seen F1 coverage in both Germany and Italy. The Italians do have few ad breaks but what they also do is flash up a quick ad at the bottom of the screen every 5 minutes or so, only for a few seconds. A bit distracting at first but you get used to it and do not miss any action.
I remember watching a race in Germany, can't remember which one, a few years ago now - Michael went out on lap one. It went straight to an 8 minute ad break so we missed laps 2 to about lap 7 - when the cars are tightly bunched and anything could happen! |
