On Sunday morning Chris Sharples of this parish (& the HSCC) told me he had no idea they were coming & didn't know who let them in! (Bearing in mind that the HSCC had paid for the paddock and they were taking up a considerable chunk of it for a while at least!) Chris..........?

Hi Ash,

Nothing from the esses I'm afraid but I think I caught one or two at Redgate and wondered how the leaders had caught up with you so soon. It seems there was a good reason!

I'll have a look later - I don't recall anything that would set the photo world alight though - not many clear shot opportunities. However there is one sequence, I think, with you on a 'wide line' in traffic.

Any pictures of the number 52 green Merlyn 6a from the Guards trophy would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

They arrived while us marshals were waiting for our morning briefing just outside the paddock gate. We were wondering how long it would be before one of the Lambos decided to spontaneously combust

I was there at about the same time. The security chaps seemed to know about it although that was possibly because so many of the cars seemed to turn up early.

A few but not brilliant photos and not at the Esses. There's also one which shows your car on one of the earlier photo-posts on this thread (post no. 45). If you want any or all PM me with an e-mail address and I'll forward them when I can.

Lovely pics thanks, was great to see the car out and bar a few niggles it performed pretty well for a first run out since a complete rebuild. The race was a bit eventful (We learnt that a two stop strategy doesn't work in the guards trophy!) but really enjoyed being back at Donington (Even if parts of it were a bit of a bulding site).

Post 7 eh?

Is that somewhere near the DPRAC compound? Possibly where, on the day the Old and New debris fencing still needed to be completed? Or is it further down towards the Craner Curves?
