Harry Gordon Selfridge cars

Dear all,

I am currently reading Notes from a small Island by Bill Bryson and he mentioned Harry Gordon Selfridge in his book. Selfridge was a retail magnate who set up the Selfridge stores.

Most interesting was that the guy seemed to live like a saint, early beds, no exessive drinking etc. untill his wife died. After that he went completly wild and did everything that he wanted.

Bryson mentions that he spend most of his money on gambling, houses, horses and motorcars. After a while his spendings where too much and he went bankrupt, had to sell his houses and rolls royces (thats what bryson says)

I have tried to find something about the old cars this guy should have owned, but I can't find nothing. Does anybody here know anything about what kind of cars this man owned?
