Not heard of it before but looking at their website it's just an arrive and drive championship with the tracks hire karts....good way of getting started in karting

i thought it would be a cheap way to get into kart racing being an arrive and drive championship. ive been doing trackdays on bikes for the last few years and felt like doing something on four wheels so went karting a couple of weeks ago and loved it. been karting a few times before but really enjoyed it last time so much so im ready to get rid of my bike and give four wheels a go. so thought karts was a good place to start.

Definately.....yeh they're nowhere near as fast as proper race karts, but just as much fun and a lot cheaper! Sounds like a very good idea to me!....give it a go, then if you want to go faster try club 100, and if you want to get your own kart buy a rotax or Tkm and do practice days and then race it....

If you want to race in a karting championship and enjoy having a laugh with other members, this is exactly what you want. I have raced here the last two years and had some great races and great laughs. Well worth it to see how you go.

Ask questions away and I'll try and answer them.

Would really like to give it a go. Is there any requirements like do u have to have a certain amount of kart racing experience? I wouldn't want to get in anyone's way. Do u know if it is possible to do an arrive and drive and compare lap times on wichever track layout they have set up to see how far off the pace I am?

No experience required. You would never be in anyone's way......that's called defending your position

You can always do an arrive and drive at the circuit and we race on all their layouts so I can compare any laptime for you. I race in Group 2 which is 82kgs+ and Group 1 is between 60kgs-82kgs (anyone lower than 60 is leaded)

Have you ever been to Ancaster? If so, which layout and what was your times?

No worries. Speak to Sean or Richard there and they will be able to tell you if you will be cruising at the back or slaughtering the field. I will be hoping to head up before the first round as haven't been since November.

Which class do you think you will be in?

Looks like I would be in group 1 I'm just under 12 stone so I think about 75 kilos will have to jump on the scales. I'm going to try and get over the weekend if I can get on an arrive and drive but will have a chat with someone about the championship

Yeah Sean runs it and Richard own the circuit so either can help. Being 75kgs and in group 1 won't be as much of a disadvantage as previous years because of the lower weight limit of 60kgs being in place. Should be a strong season
