For those of you that drive trucks abroad and stick to the rules it seems you may need to change your driver cpc cards for Johnny Foreigner ones in the event of a no deal brexit (it wont happen mind)
We will accept European drivers cards but they wont be accepting ours https://www.gov.uk/guidance/prepare-...ehicle-drivers |

First alienate the rest of your family having recently moved on from one's wife and then alienate the majority of your colleagues. Then, having signalled your approach to the world, alienate your electorate. The place in history that he so much desires seems to be but a step or two away. The shortest tenure of the Prime Minister role ever? Guinness of records should find it easy to validate and confirm that one. Oh well. He surely knew he was grabbing at the poisoned chalice during his campaign to become leader. As did the others, none of whom seemed to be putting up much of a fight in reality. Perhaps because they wanted only to be part of the game but not win? Or maybe because they are all lacking the wide levels of competence required for the role. His choice of chief advisor does not seem to be helping in any way either. |

We could start with Thornberry in whatever role she was referring to in her Brexit comments and have Abbot as Chancellor for her numeracy and then work on down through the other roles. But who would be in charge of Tractor production? |

Years ago delta and others in a similar 'one man' position checked if they required CPCs and were advised that they were exempt, so hopefully that won't be another hurdle! But as you say, we've got to leave first.....

I would have thought that they would be exempt under the following exemptions; vehicle:

I can't remember a time in my lifetime when UK politics has been in this much of a mess. Seems we have forgotten there are many other issues out there, not just Brexit.

I suppose there are few issues that are quite so imminent and even fewer over which UK politicians (and thus, to some extent, the people currently living in the UK) have any meaningful influence of some sort, somehow. Even then I use the word "influence" reluctantly. I suspect that politics, around the world, has been in a mess for a long time but it takes something very specific, with deadlines set and apparently immovable, to spotlight the full measure of the problems within the political arena and publicise them in the public domain. |

Amber Rudd and other ex-Tories in particular seem to be aiming their spleen at the PM in a personal sense rather than a political sense. The politics of the school play ground. Contempt becomes disgust, and will no doubt end up as hate in peoples minds. This country deserves Corbyn and the sooner they get him the better, then they will learn what bad government is. My only consolation will be in saying 'serves you right'. |

Cheers for that, the problem with Corbyn is he want s to tax the rich but like all others before him they end up overtaxing the middle Englanders who earn just enough to keep their heads above water but not enough to be classed as wealthy or have too much spare cash. So we're the easy targets, the wealthy get away with it and we end up paying for those that don't want to do anything and rely on the rest of us bailing them out while disabled and elderly who should be looked after still get left behind and generally ignored.

Parliament has been opposed, but can’t ever remember them being in a civil war like this. The problem is, sometimes it’s hard tell which side some people are on

At the rate the political transfer market is operating the country may get Swinson. Has anyone get a clue about what that might mean? (Beyond submission to Europe and Green everything?) |

Personally I think Boris is right to kick out those 'Remainder Tories' they have wrecked all attempts to find a 'deal', and have shown their true colours by joining the 'Rebel Alliance' co-operating with their most deadly enemies, Corbyn, and Swinson.
Many thing the PM is rudderless - well he is now. With only Leave candidates at the next election and an agreement with Brexit a winning coalition could be formed. |

So another week of ‘will he, won’t he’, ‘will we, won’t we’, ‘will they, won’t they’...... One thing is certain, the outcome won’t be pretty.

I think that BoJo has actually overplayed his hand, and has now boxed himself into a corner. That is, unless, he has some cunning stunt up his sleeve in order to circumvent the law - assuming that he isn't going to abduct Lizzie Deux to stop her giving the Royal Assent to the "No Deal" bill later this afternoon.
I think that his only saviour might be if one of the EU counties' leaders decides to veto a request to extend the date of leaving. But that would really be a case of the EU leader/s cutting off his/her/their nose/s to spite his/her/their face/s! |

Bearing in mind that just about everything you will read in the MSM is a load of rubbish , there is more to it than Boris overplaying his hand . Why did they withdraw over 100 filibuster amendments to the HOL bill to let it go through , unless they were fairly certain that it would not make it impossible to leave by the 31st Oct . Someone who I know who has a better understanding of the law than me said that they could just declare that we have left the EU at the end of September & that would be perfectly legal . Or Boris could go to the EU & ask for a 1 day extension from 31st Oct , then leave on 2nd Nov & that would all be legal . So , unless Boris is just being another Traitor May , I think that democracy will win & we will leave the EUSSR soon . |

Parliament is prorogued, but not prorogued, or it could go either way after a judgement has been made by the high court? Have I got that, or is there more.....

It's the Scottish High Court. Not entirely certain where it's jurisdiction sits with England and Wales. Also don't forget it is covered by a separate parliament.
So, it goes to the Supreme Court now because as you say, the High Court found it to be legal. What a waste of time and money. |
