Unless I have misunderstood the article, European based prototype representation will be significantly smaller than anticipated, especially in LMP1.

DSC are reporting three European teams will cross the pond (Horag-Lista/Binnie/Juan Barazi), all three in LMP2. There is (almost certainly) a fourth team, the identity of which will be revealed later today.

There is no indication of any further additions in the coming days.

Call me a pessimist if you like, but I see no reason to believe that a team which hasn't showed up to the vast majority of races they've entered in Europe since early summer will make the trek for PLM.

I would've thought they could find budgeted drivers for the states, but doubly so for Europe so who knows?

I know there are also rumours about GNM being a full-time ALMS team next year, and some regarding Kumho GT1 tires, but I'll believe it when I see it. It's a damn shame how far that team has fallen from their Saleen debut at the Rolex 24 though.

DSC have released their preliminary list, strange how there is a blank LMP1 entry with a No. of between 12 & 16 - No. 15 Factory Zytek would fit pretty well......................................

I think the list is fairly accurate. I know that ALMS held the list in hopes of 3-4 euro teams signing up. What's there is what's showing up IMO.........

I asked that question because eddsc's post was directly following Fogelhund's about Carsport....I'm aware that the "gap" is in the LMP1 list......

I was just looking for a little clarification...because it would seem to be in response to the "blank" being the possibility of the #15 Zytek...

I just wasn't sure....
