Commercialism sucks!!!

Bring me the old scarlet red of yesteryear, but it even appears Ferrari can fall to the almight dollar.

Let's just hope this is wrong.

I think Enzo would turn in his grave, get out, and kill half the staff if he saw what Ferrari has sunk to by doing this.

If this is true, I would be surprised in the FIA allowed a livery change this drastic and one that holds so much history for a competitor, namely McLaren.

Or not as the case may be
That appears to be a totally different car than the one ferrari have been using all year.
Look at the shape and height of the nose.

It looks too detailed to be a hoax. The shadowing is perfect, and everything else seems to be in order. Correct me if I'm wrong, but (if this is for real) is this the first time that Ferrari hasn't run totally in red?

On the F1-2001, the Communications aerial is not on the side pods, The front wing assembly is wrong, the nose is higher and more angular on this picture, the front wing on the F1-2001 has scooped edges.
The airbox on the F1-2001 is a more rounded shape than the one on this picture.
The mirror supports come upwards from where the side pod joins the cockpit, and not outwards from the cockpit as this picture shows.

The exhaust pipes also look too shiny to be made out of heat resistant carbon fibre which has a dull finish.

Sure, if they turn up with this livery, then I'll take this back but I am simply commenting on the picture and the fact that its not accurate.

Is this meant to be a launch photo for the new liverly, and surely if it was the drivers would be with it, or there would be some sponsorship banner in the background.

If the Ferrari was to run in this livery at the weekend, then surely it would be the biggest story in Formula one this week?

I guess, as a Ferrari fan, I'm really hoping they change, but if they do, then I guess everyone else is right.

ne wlivery?

when i look at this picture very closely, it looks to me to be a pretty good edit of a ferrari picture, for instance, look at the place where the nose joins the monocoque.... the line looks kinda screwed up there.....

Looking closer at the picture, I'd say its a model of last years car. Especially with the join on the nose cone!

Its definatly not the F12001, look at the nose!

Its one of Ferrari's cars from yesteryear with a paint job.

I don't care what it is, I think it looks terrible!!

But I think the fact that the link has ayrton and hobby in the link makes it slightly suspicious!!

I feel inclined to agree that this is a model!

It's a model. Definitely.

I'm going to be really sad and point out the the bargeboards are way too thick to be accurate. As well as the break line for the panel above the front suspension, as has already been pointed out. I reckon this is a 1/12 scale Tamiya.

Nicely done, though.

It's actually quite obviously a model - none of this year's F1 cars look like that (and I've never seen a recent F1 car with a join like that on the nosecone!).

Aside from the fact that I think its a hoax, in 1964, the Ferrari team of Bandini and Surtees was entered by NART at the Mexican GP and ran with white paint with a wide blue stipe and white numerals in a blue rondel.

Maybe you have hit upon it!!! It does not look like a Ferrari, but neither does it look like a Penske. But a combination??? I can't believe it is "real" - in the sense that we will see it on a track this weekend - but it could be some sort of a blended image. Anyway, I would bet some serious money - say, $1.00 US - that this appirition does not appear on the track in Hungary this Sunday.

"It does not look like a Ferrari"

Geez, put on a different livery and nobody recognizes a car anymore.
As pointed out by various people above it's a fully detailed Ferrari F1-2000 model.

Well, the "FedEx" label gave it away as far as I am concerned - this is a Penske Ferrari. (Enzo would hate it, but I would like to see Gil de Ferran and Helio Castro-Neves in one of these).

Very cute. Now give it to Bluebottle and let him drive it into Peter Mallett's pool. It can keep my Lamborghini company.
