Budweiser Shootout
The unofficial start of the 2005 NASCAR Nextel Cup season begins with the Budweiser Shootout at the 2.5-mile Daytona International Speedway. This event is for drivers who won a pole in 2004, as well as former race winners. Nineteen teams will pull out of the garage for the first time in 2005 with more than $1 million on the line in a 70-lap event.
