I know this doesn't match what's already been said.
Thank you Peter. I would be more inclined to take the word of someone who worked for them! I think the '105E Anglia' mention comes from one of the Robson books.

I have a customer restoring the 66 Broadspeed Anglia . . . . it still has all its original rear suspension on it . . . It clearly worked so I'd be surprised if the early Escorts were any much, if at all, different.

I’d agree.....

I can still remember watching- and hearing- the 997cc Broadspeed Anglias at Snetterton. The engine note was more a scream than anything else!

On the subject of rear suspension, we finally have Tornado parts made which won't fall to bits and are the same both sides!

As usual tenths turns my photos upside down!

Time wise yes. Cost wise, not so, although I have sold 3 other sets, which helps.

To be honest, the cars useless for anything other than pottering without a proper upgrade, so 'relatively' cheap, and certainly cheaper than repairing a car if the worst happened.

Somewhat unfashionably, we haven't made everything from titanium and copied the geometry from a dynamic 3d computer model so it'll still be slower than a 'modern' lotus elite, for example.

At Oulton Park this year we had someone go off into the tyres in one of the Delta FF2000 cars. He managed to loose the fuel filler cap. Here is a picture and two Morris 1000 caps next to it . They are to small. Any ideas. The cars were built in the mid to late 70's.I can easily chop the top of and fit a screw top but I kind of thought it would be nice to find a cap. Thanks in advance. lain.

Not a Moggy 1000 one, they had a three pronged internal bayonet type clasp, this one is external. (I do appear to be displaying a lot of BMC related trivial knowledge today!)
From my time 'working on the pumps' back in the day, I'm struggling to think of tank caps that were external types, or were some of the Ford ones? Someone like Gordon or Zeff will probably put me right.
