It's a disgrace as far as I'm concerned. One of the best races on the calender made into you another GT3 snoozer.

Me too. Im a big fan of the JAF GT300 cars before the mother chassis came along and the Brz is a nice example of the individuality of those cars, I like GT3 being part of the class but have always admired the home grown stuff you never seen elswhere. Plus I always liked the Impreza and the Legacy that they ran in the past.

My major issue with the 10 hour race are the spec tyres. That will most probably take the GT300s out of contention...

Not much talk about qualifying, but lap records were shattered! Looking good for Honda's NSX's in GT500 with a 1-2-3 qualifying, and GT300 the RC F GT3 from K-Tunes was about a half second faster than anyone else. Going to be a good race today.

And inter race with DTM will be added. -Recently, we discussed the calendar of next season with JRP and GTA. -I would like to negotiate with the organizer and promoter, and resolve the overcrowded schedule. I want to eliminate overcrowded schedule led by GTA. -The inter race with DTM is expected to be one race in Japan and one race in Hockenheim. *About inter race with DTM -FIA inquires to hear from promoters and organizers. -FIA Touring Committee has an intention to hold the World Cup by Class one regulations. -I am worried about 2019 season of DTM. ITR says it will be able to find new entry manufacturers by 2020. Until then, they are trying to increase the number of vehicles with AUDI and BMW. -Regarding the class 1 regulations, we plan to hold a signing ceremony by holding a steering committee at Norisring. Inter race is done under that regulations. -However, in 2019, not all cars will be class 1 regulated vehicles. Because Honda is MR. For the inter race, Class one aero and engine are used, but special rules apply to Honda. -When it comes to the World Cup, only FR cars will be able to participate. |

The class one World Cup planned by FIA, and the inter race of SGT and DTM are subjects. -Super GT will be a separate race series from Class One. Japanese manufacturers will prepare a machine that can accommodate Class One. In the future, we have to decide whether or not to make SGT Class One. About FIA championship as Class One -FIA and Euro Sports have been planning about the Class One World Championship for two years. -We say without the SGT there is no world championship. -Without SGT we will never cooperate in the world championships. |

So is there any talk about what the current cars will become? I thought Class one would be based off the current rules, so if that's the case then maybe GT500 moves towards something different than now or is it the opposite?

I think that if it equips the spec engine (remove the pre-chamber) and spec aero (2018 DTM aero) to the current vehicle, it will become a Class One vehicle.

If Nissan and Toyota commit sizable funds to class 1 will that result in fewer GT500 car numbers and will Honda have to ditch the NSX as it is not a class1 car?

As a result, the cooling performance was sacrificed. *The speed of NSX stands out at Suzuka, which has many medium and high speed corners (high load). *Paddock rumor says that Honda saved engine power at Fuji. However, Masahiro Saeki (Honda) denied it. He says the selected tire did not suit to the road surface. It can be inferred that NSX is not good at Fuji (low load). *Saeki says that if the fuel restrictor is shrunk by the weight handicap, the engine mileage can be preserved. |
