Pure Fantasy:
Sebring (Prototypes only, with ALMS grid) (in between if sponsors and teams insist on going to Long Beach with the ALMS, that'd be okay by me.) Laguna Seca 6 hours (Prototypes only, with ALMS grid) Spa 1000 km Le Mans Nurburgring 1000 km Monza 1000 km Brands Hatch 500km (prototypes only) Silverstone 1000 km Road Atlanta (Petit Le Mans, prototypes only with ALMS grid) 1000 miles Interlagos 1000 miles Suzuka 1000km Chris |

GrC era names: 1982-1985 FIA World Endurance Championship 1986-1990 FIA World Sports-Prototype Championship 1991-1992 FIA Sportscar World Championship http://wspr-racing.com/wspr/results/wscc/tablems.html http://wspr-racing.com/wspr/results/...lemsmakes.html I've understood manufacturers complained about misleading E word and then the name was changed... and that was in line with the eventual change of the race format. In my dream calendar all the regular races would be <500 km, like in 1989-1991. I guess I'm not really a hardcore fan after all because I don't see the fascination with the 1000km/6 hour length. Historically... but with current reliability it's not really a test at all. It's not long enough to be epic event like Sebring/Le Mans/Petit and it's a nightmare for tv. *runs and hides* |

But, even for a fantasy I had to put some limit, for it to look possible. Considering I had already three US events, I refrained putting the Glen and Road America. And I hadn't planed Daytona in it, as it's already a big event by itself, even with DPs. Still, I agree the infield is not bad and the LMP1s would look wonderfull, flat out on the banked turns! Then if we go totally unrestricted I'll also add the Nordschleiffe, Bathrust, Brands Hatch, Donington, Estoril, Mexico, Imola, Istanbul, Zolder, the old Hockenheim, A1 ring... |
