What happened to...

Mark Lemmer. Where is he these days? He drove class B last year, and was a privateer in 1998.

Mark Lemmer drove in the BTCC this year, he raced for Synchro Motorsport on a few occasions, he is also the boss of Barwell.

Mark Lemmer was a complete lemon of a driver especially in 98 when he appeared to use new found tatic's of passing people by simply punting them off, he had a fond likeness to Mansells mondeo which he hit once in practise on the Thursday in testing at Donnington 98 then punted him off the track at brands in a move fit for lame brains.
His other quests at attempting to be a racing driver have also been of the same calabire, his has no place in a racing car.

Regards

Guy

If it was Lemmers fault at Brands, why after watching the video did Mansell apologise to him?

Lemmer doesn't seem that bad, but I guess that was him that hit Mansell off at Brands in 1998.

What about Giampiero Simoni, he was absent from the last few rounds of the 1995 championship, anyone know why.

I think Simoni was missing because A. He went to the Italian championship to drive for Gabriele Tarquini, or B. was replaced in favor of Tarquini. He had a couple of good races in the beginning of 95, as he was consistent in the points in almost all of the races he drove. I think his best finish that year was 4th at Thruxton.

When Tarquini joined at Oulton Park i thought they ran 3 cars for the majority of the year, it's just that at the last 2 or so rounds he ain't there.

i think alfa did use 3 cars, in atempt to help the team up the order but reveiw videos never tell the whole truth.

They never ran 3 cars. Tarquini replaced Simoni from Knockhill onwards that season.

Tarquini's first race that season was rounds 9 & 10 at Oulton Park, the round were Leslie and Warwick had a huge accident on the approach to the SHell Hairpin. I know that for certain. And Simoni was still racing later on that season. They definatly ran 3 cars, but Simoni was missing from the final few rounds.

Yeah, they did run 3 cars. Even Derek Warwick says that they ran 3 cars, "Oh yeah, he's going to be running the spare car, and he's going to try to help Giampiero and I score some points." I quote from the 95 review video.

That was a big crash at Shell that year!

Do you remember the interview with Warwick at Brands that year, when he says "Oh yeah, I got a good start, got past a couple of cars, and then Giampiero just rams across me and spins me off." As a matter of fact Derek, you didn't pass anybody!
