So the Question Is....

Did the Volvo's that were returned to Sweden donate the engineering and design to this car. No V8 of course but it uses Holinger driveline components and that alone indicates where the ideas came from.

They have more than 25 years of experience in building cars so probably they got ideas from all those years.

Not really a follower of tintop racing, but their name is totally unfamiliar to me. Just what was their involvement in 'winning races ... in Australia'?

What struck me was the use of a Hollinger drive line by a European company where the go to transmission/drive line suppliers would normally be Quaiffe, Xtrac etc. It just struck me as strange that a European company would source from Australia when closer and well credentialled suppliers are available in Europe.

Hollinger is well-known in Europe - as long ago as the mid 80s Hollinger boxes were used in number of the different touring cars over there.

Reiter Engineering is running Holinger Europe.

Reiter is the company behind KTM X-Bow, Sareni Camaro GT3 and several Lambo GT2/GT3 cars before Lambo took it inhouse.

I think Mixer's point was that the 5.0V8 engine used by the Volvo in V8 Supercars was developed by Cyan, (no doubt with input from GRM)
