Couldnt edit my post so I rewrote my wrongs here.

WAU could do worse than hire Andre if Chaz stays at FPR

At Mr Courtney’s choosing too.. which suggests that enough may well have been enough..

Wonder if Mr Mostert is entirely free to move, or if Tickford has some oddball secret options on him that aren’t out in the world? They have form for such things.. might explain Mr Edwards’ reported assertions that Mr Mostert hasn’t left just yet...

Courtney presumably will be having to take a haircut to stay in the game, not one of those funny ones he picks up on the Gold Coast, but a much reduced pay packet given that Alan Gow told us last time that Courtney's level of remuneration had been retained last time around.

So where does the REC come from, does Charlie bid for one of the ones Prodrive and Triple 8 handed in last year, or does he made an offer to Tekno to buy them out lot lock, stock and barrel? Surely the novelty of having to prop up a race team that consistently runs at the back must be wearing off for the Webbs.

If Courtney leaves WAU for Team18 then it's a bad decision. Last years weren't good for WAU but Team18 will never be a front-running team I guess.

Courtney, much like Winterbottom, is a driver who while still capable of jagging a top 5 result, but is past his prime and never going to be a championship contender again. Father time catches up with all champions eventually, and Lowndes excepted, its been a long time since a driver on the wrong side of 40 has been a championship contender.

Guess the Team 18 branding will go, wonder if for old times sake JC ends up back in #18?

I still get the feeling Courtney doesn't have much choice in leaving WAU. This to me is a calculated risk for Chaz, there is nothing to suggest WAU is close to being competitive. And what of Supercheap? I get the feeling it will go with Mostert.

Also: pretty impressed by the brutal honesty of Foge's opinions. Its easy to forget the difference between journalism and rehashing press releases these days.

Interesting times ahead, Foges certainly doesn’t hold back.

If Mostert goes to WAU, hopefully they will give him some decent machinery- otherwise his career is over.

I'm tipping it's a big dollar 2-3 year deal with a performance clause for each year.

Earn a big fat wage while waiting for 17 to be available. If WAU find their mojo in the meantime, then happy days.

Could still potentially maintain the BMW connection, via Mr S. Walkinshaw.

Tough gig for Chaz. But he knows more than us, I hope there are some engineering recruitments behind the scenes and maybe the promise of a couple of UA GT/LMP runs bundled in.

No 2020 deal done yet for Courtney?

Claims he hadn't even spoken to Mr Forklifts yet:

Why would he when Mr 10% is paid to do that exact thing...

Will they run Altimas with a "private label" engine from KRE or somebody else, or go the whole hog and re-skin the cars and become a customer outfit?
I thought it was the heads that were a custom cast part, not the blocks?

Correct.

Blocks are still roadcar-derived.

It's difficult for me to believe that Courtney has nothing in place for 2020 - I doubt he'd decide to leave WAU in August, having nothing set for the future. And what about this 'great opportunity presented itself'?

Dare say this is a smokescreen as he would have a clause in a contract that wouldn't allow for him to say "I'm joining Team 19" until the clocks tick over to 2020.
