I'm cool with leaving it how it is.

The rusted-on types don't like change. Good, bad, or otherwise.

Why?

To avoid conflict with NRL/AFL (the 'better' sports)?
To re-jig the ATCC schedule to suit 'TV' programming?
To see drivers literally cook inside their cars?

There's always speedway.

Noisy V8s, toothless types, crashes, simple racing...

I think they might BOTH leave.

Good on them if it happens

Certainly to avoid conflict with those ball sports. Which would potentially free up space in free to air TV schedules.

The weather seems to get a mention every time a summer season is mentioned.

So what is better for the paying spectator? - the weather last weekend at Winton or the weather in November with an average temp of 25 degrees C?

As to the drivers. Motor sport has been run in the North American summer for over 100 years, whether is be the dry heat of California for racing in Sonoma (average temp of 35 degrees C) when NASCAR run their road course race to the oppressive humidity of the south.

Touring cars did run over the summer in Australia with no sophisticated driver aids for cooling following the Tasman Series circus.

Would any of their US drivers want to embarrass themselves?

Or will they relax the testing restrictions?

Matt Stone Racing to close in 2020?

Dare say that if MSR shuts doors at the end of the '19 season, would Mr. Hazelwood go to GRM to replace the injured and unloved Mr. Stanaway?

That could work, but isn't Hazelwood link to Optus with one of his sponsors, or have they moved on??

Interesting comment during opening practice, with Barry Rogers asked if Richie "will be in the car for the rest of the year?" Sounds like word on the street might be on thin ice already or the neck is a lot worse than they thought...

IMO, if you're going to talk a big game after getting cut loose and given a 2nd chance, you got to make sure you match your words. Or keep your mouth shut and let your driving do the talking.

I don’t understand this. Jason Gomersall just invested heavily as equity partner into this team.

Are they just considering a driver change?

Why would they want to?

Frosty's little experiment this year has shown how unsuccessful a 888 relationship can be, despite all the promises made, etc.

Frosty's Irwin Commodore is running rather well actually, with regular Top 15 and occasional Top 10 & Top 5 results!

Frosty would have been going quite well in the Bottle-O car, he left Tickford at the wrong time.

After yesterdays race, the replacement is leading Frosty in the championship by 20 points. The replacement can continue to improve. Frosty I'm not so sure.

It was a much better effort by Holdsworth yesterday, has he turned the corner and now on his way up?
