I don't think it would be the Stuart Turner. I stand to be corrected.

No, it's not the Ford Motorsport man. This Stuart Turner lived near Manchester and the car was an ex-Alan Mann Escort.

I presume the Baker Camaro and Birley Capri were Prodsaloons not 'real' Special/Superloons??

See this post in the Chassis History section
http://tentenths.com/forum/showpost....&postcount=328. I suspect this was, at least, his second Escort as in 1972-3 he had what was said to be an ex-Broadspeed or John Fitzpatrick car.

Thanks for posting the F1300 entry Andy, a lot of old mates on there.
I see Mike Brett finished fifth in the Centaur we owned between us.

Happy Days

Good to see the winner of F1300 race also. Phil Lloyd, who sadly passed away recently. Another name in the Modsport race was that of my late twin brother Ronnie Woods in one of his early outings in his Ginetta G15, although I can't remember him going to Oulton at that time! (it was a long time ago!!).

Blimey Pete! It really has been a long time. As you know by now I'm looking through all my old racing stuff and putting it on this website for all the new kids to look at.
Pete, can you actually remember that race I was in with you at Brands? I remember it so well. 1964! Everyone was so experienced at it, and I was so naive'. I really thought that my mini was quick! Yeah Right! I was lapped so many times mate. I can't remember where you finished, but I drove the mini home, all the way up to the Midlands-poor little car.
Did you see the programme I have on page one of this section? Lovely to hear from you Pete, and oh, by the way, "Have you still got that A.40?":D
Be Lucky,
Gerry.

FAT BLOKE WINS TIN CUP!

Blimey! Look what I found in the vault of yesteryear....A Fat Bloke collecting a trophy from "The Triplex lady". I seem to remember it was in a huge marquee behind the pit lane at Silverstone in 1973. As you younger drivers will notice, we didn't take being slim too seriously, in fact it was odd to see a thin saloon car driver!
You will notice I was handing her an envelope full of pound notes in exchange for the trophy. I later went on to become the face for "WALL'S SAUSAGES!"

Well...THANK YOU GUYS!

I make no apologies for that shirt, it was the height of fashion at the time. You should have seen the colour of that jacket too!
I later slimmed down a little. to a reasonable 18 stone ( That's a joke by the way).

SILVERSTONE SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 2ND 1972

This is the programme entry for the SUNBAC TROPHY RACES. The programme cover and the grid line up for race 7.
Sorry my crew only did the class results I was in. But I recall a really good race. Just look at some of those cars and the names from the past.
