yes its great to have the sport on tv but in time how many people will stay a home rather than go out to the tracks?? If theres a mass "stay at home and watch tv " then how are the tracks going to live?? charge more track hire = more entry fee !! just a thought BY the way !! Well done Daz BTRDA stockhatch Champ |

Think Positive
Hey meshga get a life. Ok it was rough and quite a bit of damage to all cars but it is a bloody good venue and the track next time will be A1. They need Cecil Haffey on the case he's the man !!!!

I watched the highlights programme after I got home from a great day in Mondello. I thought the TV coverage was excellent. A great advert for the sport, the commentators worked really, really well together. That made a big difference to the feel of the programme.
Glad to see BTRDA Stock Hatch finally running with the MSA Stock Hatch field. The class should never of been divided a few years back. I believe if Stock Hatch had not been divided it would not be neceessary to axe it from the programme for next year, a real shame... Julian gets my driver of the day, the on board action was superb. Well done to everyone involved. |

Thought that the commentating was very good again. Makes such a massive difference to have them there, live. You get real reactions and enthusiasm. I may be wrong, but I get the feeling that the commentating for the ERC coverage is dubbed in afterwards. And it's rubbish! So, MotorsTV, I echo the comments of a previous poster... Get these people a long term contract and send them across Europe next year (and cover it live!!!)
Thought the layout of the track was fantastic and the driving was good too. The bumps did verge on dangerous, so I hope that these are sorted for the winter series, and I think it will be a top venue. Also, congrats on combining the stock hatch groups. About time and made it easier to explain to my housemate! Good work all round, let's hope this is a sign of things to come. |

Sounds like this was really good - looking forward to seeing the coverage online! (beings as I have no Motors TV )
I wonder if they will be a season review DVD this year? |

I'm sure some of the undulations will settle down. Mallory seemed to be aware of the situation and there was constant rolling of the track during the day.
On a positive note the yumps certainly produced some action - particularly near the start finish line where some car were getting all four wheels off the grounds! The problem seemed to be that this was where the track was narrowing with a kink for the bridge - so a slight mistake and you were in the barrier. A lot of people were also cutting this kink. Maybe they need to slow down the exit of this 'bus stop' with a tyre wall next time? or would that make it more dangerous? |

Main man
Barry Lee is the NEW name in rallycross commentating he needs to be on the end of the micraphone all the time. He has done it worn the T shirt and all that. He brings a breath of fresh blood into it. Although the gearbox on the RS 200 does not look like Dan O'Briens KA !!!!

Just seen some pictures of the event. I thought the comments in the other thread about the use of the Doran RS200 were light hearted; I really want to see the coverage now!
