Aaargh, yes; I thought we were talking about some inanimate PC application not the decidedly animate Glenn Summerbell, my photography guru. I'm sure I must be a most exasperating pupil.

Great circuit for photos Grant, you won't regret it. Hoping to get there on Monday myself.
Thanks Gary. I had seen a similar "mymap" but not this one which has much greater useful detail.

Hope to meet up with you at some point on Monday.

Historic FF2000 has been getting more competitive each year; as the first year as a Championship, 2011 will be no exception J I’m sure the racing will be excellent!!

Can’t wait!!

Took the mk2 for a blast down the pub by way of consolation. Didn't work
And MST live timing seems to be having trouble moving on from Donington

It looked superb though.

Excellent meeting, good races with dicing right through the field and even the FF1600s behaved themselves! (So far as I know.)

The weather was good both days - perfect today - and there were the usual stories of bad luck and pleasing successes, especially for at least a couple of 10thers.

As usual managed to meet some people and failed to bump into others.

I was most impressed with JT's commitment to exercise. Of course only time constraints, er, forced me to use the car to get around today ..... honestly.

First visit to Cadwell and it won't be my last.
Fantastic circuit for spectators and photographers and the HSCC certainly provided two days of great entertainment.

Its funny I have been alright about not racing this year until I got too Cadwell on Friday. We had a brilliant weekend and all my cars finished and did well at Cadwell and Zandvoort which I needed as been a bit down in the dumps the past week. Met up with Gary 396 or Gazza as I call him, breakfast with Simon H and his Mrs and we had a good old natter dunt get any better.Yes it does, as I had just finished my full English when drivers son finds me to say that my breakfast was ready.Never had two breakie's before.JT was looking and sounding like his old self which made me very happy,Grant P disappeared in the morning and turned up back in the evening looking well pleased with himself ,so stand by for some cracking photo's all. Robyn had the biggest grin after his second race but I will let him tell his race story,FJ Drifter was awesome up over the mountain and some over bloke who post on here won a few races. Now whats his name.Lastly we packed up tired but happy after I had sorted out a neighbor's tail lift on his truck for him and we were just putting the second car in our truck when there was a laud BANG!!!!. Yep our tail lift cable broke. Happy days.BTW if anyone finds a Delta FF2000 petrol cap at the circuit I would be very happy.Me Grant and Alan walked the whole circuit Saturday evening looking everywhere.Im convinced the rabbits came out and stole it

An excellent meeting at a wonderful circuit, great racing, minimal damage and lots of faces. Saw Grant, missed Iain, brilliant to see both Mr and Mrs H racing.
Hope JP in his 45 helicopter fly in has signed up the HSCC for Easter 2012.

They've probably got it on ebay by now, Iain. Check for listings from 'cadwellbunny'

Sounds like a fantastic meeting, obviously helped by cracking Easter weather. Look forward to some pics and stories

Only managed to get there for the Monday but it was a superb day, good racing and weather. Finally managed to meet Iain - good to have a chat, he wasn't even out of breath after he walked up the hill after the FF2000 race - all that running must be keeping him fit!

Didn't get to meet JT or Grant - I looked for 10-Tenths stickers but didn't notice any. And the thought of walking up to someone and asking 'are you John or Grant' might have given the wrong impression! Next time maybe. Photos to follow when I've sifted through them.

great meeting and great weather except for the cloudburst on Saturday evening just as we arrived at 8-00 pm - that was not on the forecast I saw and included some impressive lightning. There's nothing worse than trying to set up camp in pouring rain!

Had a busy weekend as the Cortina gearbox blew halfway through the Sunday race with number two son driving and a four hour return journey to borrow Jim Clark's (the Yorkshire farmer, not the Scottish farmer) spare box made it a very long day but worthwhile as number one son took the car from dead last to twelth on Monday.

Only saw Delta to wave to.

You should have kept faith Colin as only 27 turned up to practice and a couple of those didn't survive for the race.

Fantastic meeting. Spent both days there in my campervan. Will post some photographs when I get chance. My son hoping to put some video on youtube as well. It really is wonderful to see and hear such great machinery on Britain's best circuit.

To be fair, I made the decision on Thursday afternoon when family were asking yes or no as they wanted to make plans, then a golden opportunity to spend time in the office came my way as well (can't seem to find a tongue-in-cheek smilie to insert here). When I got a call on Friday to say Lisa had pulled out it was just too late, the ramifications of a u-turn would have been too great!!! Still, managed to be incredibly grumpy all weekend so wasn't all bad.

Fraid so,went well in practice, managed about 4 laps in the race and just coming over the mountain, big clunk and could not select a gear some mounting,or the subframe has cracked and that let everything move which then pulled off a water hose,so plenty of steam.

Fixed the hose, easy enough but the gear linkage needs some more effort.

C`Est la vie.Should be fixed for S`stone in a couple of weeks though.

Well, what a fantastic couple of days. Weather was excellent although it would have been better still yesterday but for the wind (not mine, you understand). Great to meet up with loads of mates but annoyed not to have caught up with everyone, particularly Matthew Sturmer, who was not to be seen near his cars (except when racing) on the couple of occasions I tried to find him. Some great racing at Britain's loveliest circuit. I took loads of photos some of which have come out tolerably OK although not sure when I'm going to be able to put them up here. However, a few Pit & Paddock shots taken on Sunday, for starters:-

They look a bit more than 'tolerably OK' to me JT.

I never did manage to make a proper tour of the paddock. Must be a time management issue on my part. Plus too many trackside locations to discover.

Number 4 is a bit 'arty' John. A good opportunity spot and a nice capture.

It really was a brilliant weekend _ and hard to remember that it is still April! Cadwell is one of my favorite tracks and it rewarded me with a couple of poles which I managed to convert into wins in the Historic Roadsports. No issues, but the Lotus Seven of Mr Shepherd did get a bit too close in the second race.

Photo shows that Morgan +8 has great traction off the line even when it's on the grass! (sorry about the quality but it was taken from a long way off)

And it was great to finally meet you John. Are there ten-tenths stickers available that we can display so you know who's who?

Paul

I'm certainly no pro photographer (just a man with a basic compact!) but I'm pleased with these pics. So apologies for stacking the thread with photos.
