Peter Harding should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
750MC openner - Mallory 12 March

I have just posted the Marshals info and tickets for this. There are 138 of us.

6 Practices and 10 Races are scheduled with double header and heats for Locost (36 entries so far) and Formula Vee (44).

Only disappointment is Hot Hatch with only 10 entries.

Also double headers for Formula 4 and Formula Junior

Why is Magruder trying to protect Mallory. Does the circuit need protecting??

At the elbow last year we couldn't all fit into the area of the post itself. We had 3 observers (2 X-grade), 4 flag marshals and around 6 incident. Still a great meeting, even if it was crowded. Looking forward to this year.

Had intended this to be the first day out for the year, but other activities that weekend (including taking parents to the airport at 5am) mean I'll have to wait a few weeks. Looking forward to Brands Hatch first weekend in April, got a new flask to be road tested!

Now up to 146 volunteers.

Talking to circuit manager today, it looks like the gate to create the pit lane is not ready so we will have to run this like last year, that's without a pit lane.

Still that also means the assembly area is big enough and secure to deal with the increased grid size for this circuit.

When they create the pit lane we lose some of assembly and that might be a problem unless they have plans to move/increase assembly. We will see.

Pete, as Steve has already said, we cannot be there because it's my mother's 80th Birthday party. However, I would be grateful if you could let me know how things go and what is planned for the rest of the year.

If this meeting is anything like the normal 750 @ Mallory then you're in for some fun. Just make sure you avail yourself of the renowned Mallory Fry-Up before racing starts. I know I'm going to!!!!!

see you all there.

****ed Off!

Despite me telling work that I would be "Unavailable For Duty" (As I am allowed to) on Sunday 12th March, they have put me on A&E duties on Saturday night from 6pm to 6am Sunday morning.

So, it looks like my first meeting of the year will not now be until 26th March - still at Mallory. (Unless I am working again!)

Not A happy chappie!

So that we don't learn that other tententhers have been on post with us after the meeting would it be possible to include a mention of the forum at the Observers' briefing before racing and at the on post briefings and when we introduce ourselves to include our forum name - if different from our actual name.

Perhaps it's just as well I can't make it then. I'll just have to miss out on the famous Mallory breakfast (but I can't eat a whole one) and playing sardines on post. (OK so they were the nearest smilies I could find)

I'll think of you all while I'm slumming it at Saguna Seca <sigh>
