Asmer propably F3 with Carlin or Team Raikkonen and I expect Kubica in the World Series, if they get a good budget together.

Kubica's aim is to race GP2. If not - he will race in the World Series.

In fairness, Kubica did win in F3Euroseries and the Cagliari international in 2003, before the ASM domination began. And he showed his ability in Macau this year, when back in a decent car with Manor.

I really don't understand this. If only the winner moved up in each series each year, the grids in each class would be almost identical for years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No one would ever move up cos there can only ever be ONE winner.

Yes, and it was even mroe impressive given his injury, but since then what? Premat, Salignon, Rosberg, etc all deserve to move up with Green.

to be honest both guys have exceptional talents, both coming up through karting with tremendious achievements there.
Asmer's has always been linked to Williams, so i doubt budget is a probelm so i'd expect to see him at Carlin or Hitech. Kubica though is one of those guys who seems to have the ability but doesnt always get to show it, mainly due to lack of funds. i mean he was given a life line being put on the renault driver development programme but then wasted it. it wouldnt surprise me if i saw him in GP2 he'd definatley make the grade. |

What?!!! Kubica has proved that he is as good as all of those guys you mentioned, i dont know what races you have been watching Russfeld. And as for Asmer, he's still inexperienced but has shown hes talented, i think next year he'll be a race winner contender atleast |

Theres only so much room, and the ladder narrows down as you move up. Kubica hasnt done enough for promotion imo

Both Kubica and Asmer have impressed me with their talent and commitment. Not winning races can be a result of all kinds of circumstances, and there are many less talented people who have managed to win races - Marcus Marshall for example. There are also plenty of less talented people already signed up to GP2 and the World Series etc. The results also don't necessarily speak for the way the mechanics feel about the drivers, and Kubica and Asmer are both intelligent technical drivers who presumably are respected by their ground crews - which could be very important in a new series with new chassis etc.

Asmer at Team Räikkönen - yes - I've asked him (Marko) about it, but he said wait and see. It'd be really good if one of my favourite F3 drivers goes and drives for one of my favourite F1 drivers.
As for Kubica, don't know him too well, but he seems pretty good. *shrugs* Let's hope he gets a good drive next year and wait and see what happens. |

Kubica's "lack of funds"
Here it is in a nutshell:
He came in karting ICAJ suppported by CRG Holland. He was very quick, and soon became sponsored by Opel. Well Opel quitted and then came Redbull, but,er, they quitted soon as well. For next year (was it 01 or 02) he was sponsored by Zepter (remember those black Arrows F1's with Zepter logos) but after one season...they quitted. Then came Renault...and quess? Yeah, one year, they quitted. This year we saw Mercedes coming... jesus, don't tell me that this kid hasn't had his shots!! He has, and will have, and has used few of them in style. I don't know whether it is the Polish market which helps or what but already the list of so far have-been-sponsors is impressive enough to tell grand kids... :-) |

talent & results....
unfortunately, in motorracing the talent is not enough for winning races. And Kubica is the tipical example of this. In my opinion is one of the best 3 young drivers that F.3 showed in the last 2 years.
