Three Sisters 24 April

Having just returned home from Three Sisters, I thought it was time it got a mention here. It is such a fantastic place to marshal.

For those of you who dont know Three Sisters is near Wigan, just off the M6.

Today we started at 10 am, ran 9 practice sessions, 28 heats and 10 finals got a 25 min lunch break, and finished at 17.40.

The racing was outstanding, position changes at every corner on nearly every lap.

Marshals are looked after, free tea and coffee, a sandwich at lunch time and a contribution towards your expenses.

If you have never marshalled at a short circuit Kart meeting you should give it a try. Its fast and exciting. New marshals are always welcome. Sign on is at 9 am, no tickets are required if you are marshaling.

Check out the Buxton and Manchester Kart Club web site for details of the next meeting http://mbkartclub.com/
They run club meetings once a month, and there are some other bigger meetings as well.

I look forward to seeing some new faces next meeting.

Yes, try karting, it's fun and action packed

It's not just at Three Sisters, try my local at Shenington, (near Banbury), or Little Rissington, Kimbolton, Whilton Mill, Beccles, Rye House, and many others. You're always welcome and as said above, it is a packed day and lots of fun (usually - so sod's law it won't be when you go!)

If your a MSA Licenced marshal you aren't welcome at Larkhall in Scotland. You have to be about 15 to get accepted there. They don't even give them any training all they get told at their first meeting is heres your flags and extinguisher and what post to go to.2 of their marshals asked myself about training and I told them about the 1 at Knockhill, which they went to.They both now only marshal at Knockhill as they get told by the assistant Chief Marshal that Larkhall doesn't want them or any other MSA Licenced Marshals.I've been a Msa Licenced marshal for 13 years at Knockhill and Oulton Park.I marshalled at Larkhall for 5 years until he came out with that. Now I do Croft instead

You wont have any problems at Three Sisters, some training was arranged at the last meeting for anybody who wanted it, and some more is planned later in the year.
Most of the marshals are MSA licenced, some are not. ALL ARE WELCOME.
The MBKK events are all MSA licenced events.
You will not get a better days racing.
PLEASE GIVE IT A TRY. WE ARE ALWAYS IN NEED OF MORE MARSHALS.
