My 2005 'Blue Book' shows 22 starters for Anglesey so 25 would be a problem.

Interesting... I'm certain it was 26 in 2004, maybe it has reduced again. If that is the case the non-qualifiers from Pre-90 could run on the back of the Post-89 grid. Or maybe there could be a qualification race.

I think 22 sounds about right because doesn't Fosters at Oulton only start 26?

What would happen to the non-qualifiers in pre90 then? If there is one late entry into post89 then there will be too many for them all to start at the back of that race. Seems a little harsh going all the way to Anglesey not to get a race.

Well, there could be a situation where you are a reserve. Moral of story: get entry in early!

I always find the number of starters allowed at each circuit baffling. At Mallory, for example, you can start 28. What is it based on - anyone know?

Diz gives a little ripple on his big drum - with a hint of self satisfaction and smugness.

As far as I'm aware, the grid size went up to 26 last year.

It could be even harsher, all the way to Anglesey and miss two races!

I think the number of starters used to be based on track length and width and was then included in the track licence. 26 is going to be VERY busy!

Presumably there is a test the day before....I would guess that will prune us down a bit

I remember watching last years race that had about 15 and it looked busy then so to have 24 is great but first out of the pits will have a good chance of getting pole if he/she puts there head down.

Looking forward to it.

Track Licence is 26

Just to confirm. The track licence is definitely for 26 starters. The Blue Book is wrong

31 entries can be accepted to qualify - entries 27 to 31 being reserves 1 to 5

Is there a qualifying on each day?

I dare say some that don't race on Saturday will get a chance on Sunday if there are a few bent or broken cars from Saturday..............

I thought it was 26 though. I know at some point it was increased from 22. Might be wrong though

There is qualifying on both days - the timetable is on the BRSCC website. Just hope we don't get too many damaged cars!

Had a conversation with JD as he was leaving Silverstone on Sunday.

IS: When will I see you again then?
JD: Edwina Trophy.
IS: Nope, I'm at Cadwell.
JD: Moose Trophy then.
IS: But that's in September...
