Mullin Production Group (MPG) to produce Champ Car Races on TV

Some interesting news. Anyone know how good they actually are?

I hope their website is no indication.

"The Mullin Production Group has served as the production company for the Atlantic series for the past ten seasons."

I have watched a number of the Atlantic races over the past years on Speed and always found them to be well produced. This could be good for Champ Car.

After a bit of research, I think that this is going to be great. I'm really looking forward to what MPG is going to do in 2006.

Lingner, Betelguese, Molson, Mullin.....in four years......one word had it going back to Lingner again before this announcement. I hope they're not looking for a "magic wand" in production to improve ratings....don't think that's going to happen.

Molstar had been doing a great job - shame about the Coors merger.

If that's the best you can do I'm quite optimistic!

As long as they know how to rig up a good on-board camera and also cut to where the action is, I'll be happy....

To be honest I could've throttled last year's guys when, like in Australia, you had Servia dicing his way through the field (as shown on his on-board on Race Director) and on the TV all you could see was Tracy and Bourdais running around doing nothing....

That happened far too much last year, so I hope it's a thing of the past!

Mind you, since I'm on the international feed, I does it make a difference?
