I think the aeroscreen fits in well with the high speed technology of the series

According to this Racer.com article, the Nielsen numbers for NBC’s first full season of televising the IndyCar series were up, though not astounding.

A large number of the current viewers seem to be based on the legacy of previous iterations of open wheel racing, possibly even grandfathers, are the current viewers all older viewers who had open wheel racing ingrained in their DNA while racing viewership was still "socialist" before commercialization, ridiculous entry fees and everyone being milked by pay TV? The nodes of viewership strength are really fascinating. |

So Ericsson in at Ganassi. Nothing wrong with that, as he is in a third seat, as long as the other two are top quality experienced drivers

Just keep the other 2 the same and it's a strong lineup. Ericcsonn provides some money for the team, so that's good. Nd opens up the second arrow/McLaren car for what will hopefully be a better driver than just a pay driver. One more car on the grid is always good!

He was not good enough for Red Bull. Seems is he good enough for Zak Brown.

At least Marko let O'Ward go early, so he can sign with an IndyCar team.

Oh no, I definitely agree with you. Pato is MUCH better than Marko thinks, sadly it seems like Marko wanted Pato in G1 NOW and he wasn't going to have the points to do so. I could see Pato being a McLaren reserve driver if he can earn more points. But sadly F1 might be out of reach without going to Europe with McLaren.

It's not really anything new or definite yet, but as the Toronto promoters are sending out emails today to start ticket renewals for the 2020 race, there will likely be decisions being made in the next few months about possible future building projects at Exhibition Place that could make it difficult or impossible for it to continue. If you scroll down to the images on pages 3, 5, 6 and 7 of this pdf brochure, you can see how building an expansion to the trade centre would take up the space where the pit lane and trackside suites have been in recent years.

Sounds like The Mayor is without a seat for 2020 now, SPAM (I'm stealing RM's name) well be announcing O'Ward and Askew in their cars for 2020. I'm guessing they've bought out Hinch's ride so he's a free agent and I believe still actually signed with Honda of Canada through the end of the calendar year. I'm guessing we'll see him in a Honda but there's slim picking now for a full season ride. I'm guessing Honda will have some pull and we'll see him on the grid and not towards the rear hopefully.

Where is The Mayor going to go? Dale Coyne sometimes run a third car. Would RLLR run a third car? Possibly at Indy with Honda money because he's signed with Honda of Canada. All the other Honda rides look like they are taken. |

As good as it is for the two rookies to get their feet in IndyCar's door at Arrow McLaren Schmidt Peterson next year, it still makes me wonder how the team want to be successful at the Indianapolis 500 when their expected driver for their additional 3rd car, Fernando Alonso, will be the most experienced guyin their lineup with 1 start and 1 non-qualification at that event. It's a surprise that the team has not hired an experienced driver.
