M Coupe should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Chimay Historic racing

Does anyone know anything about the Chimay historic racing mentioned in the Calander of events in this months Motorsport Mag?

I'm in the area that weekend and wondered what racing was on?

sadly this meeting clashes with the HSCC Super Prix at Brands and a lot of competitors (myself included) will do Brands instead. A pity as Chimay last year was superb, but with championship rounds for HSCC and BRDC as well as a Gentleman Drivers race all on the GP circuit, it has lost out.
Chimay has got a Top Hat and Cloth Cap round as well as an MGB race and some very spirited French hot rod races. If you are in the area you should go! It is a great road circuit with very relaxed police who do not mind practice carrying on after the roads re open!!

What's it like for traffic on the Race day? Stopped at the circuit on the way back from a weekend at the N'ring last year and managed to get lost in the town, the roads are all a bit narrow around there?

the roads are closed for racing but they reopen at lunchtime! To be honest its so friendly there that if you needed to use the road the local plod would probably let you go between races!
It is what I imagine racing to have been like in the 60's
