realistically, it could be a couple of months if any kind of investment is dependant on government contracts for supply or something like that. it's hardly as if there's a huge political shift in the offing, but it could be disrupting the decisionmaking process for companies considering getting involved.

it's becoming clear that most money invested in f1 from new sources is hypothetical money. it's like the rich lists - it assumes there's a buyer willing to pay the going rate for whatever it is they're selling. which most of the time, there isn't. the money going into f1 is secured on assets, rather than cold hard cash sat in bank accounts doing nothing.

Thats the bog standard FIA parc ferme overnight cover, every car has to wear it. Somehow the FIA can tell if they move the cover or not.

Do Addax count as a bona fide racing organisation? But that's an old rumour, I've not seen them mentioned this time round. Though I've not heard any serious rumours, racing organisation or otherwise.

To be ruthless for a moment, HRT had been pretty hopeless, and existed largely to keep Marussia off the back of the grid.
