AMP Marshal should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Jim Bamber

R.I.P Sir, I didn't know you, but loved your cartoons. I wear the " Marshals Hero " patch with pride, given to us Canadians from a British mate. God's speed, from one gear head to another.

I have posted on the Marshals' Forum, but just to be sure, it is also here.

We have an original Bamber cartoon on our wall, plus the signed books and the marshal figures. All will be even more treasured now - but we knew this sad news was coming.

I can imagine Jim up there wondering how to put God into one of his pictures - now that's something I'd like to see!

God Bless You Jim.

RIP Jim, your cartoons were the unbeatable. Anyone who's ever been to Castle Combe's canteen will certainly understand...

...no artist has ever had quite the same impact on motorsports. We'll all miss you.

I've got a frame of the one with the gorilla on Jenson's back after he finally won. Also got a few model mechanics and a few cars as well. Not to mention a couple of the pits (a few went missing). I knew he had to leave Autosport due to ill health and I hope someone can do it as good as he can. After all he did it as well as Brian Foley. RIP
