Although Maple City Racing is ecstatic over yet another podium, watching one of our drivers go absolutely braindead at the start was rather unnerving, and resulted in our team dropping a spot in the championship. And what a close fight it is this year!

Kwality Tewls Racing is on the verge of throwing Hunter-Reay and Tracy off a pier. 37th in a championship consisting of 38 teams is nothing to be proud of. Maybe we'll get 'em next year.

Domenech Racing is happy that Servia and Carpentier performed brilliantly to stand on the podium, but is upset that Junqueira lasted one lap only. He is happy though that we can't change him for Bourdais or Jourdain Jr. We can't, right? Liz, confirm it!

No, sorry, or I'd have changed all my drivers by now!
Mrs. Fields Pies Crayola TGIF Press Release Another weekend of surpassing ordinariness that we are at a loss for words to explain what happened to everyone. Mr. Junqueira made the Tracy Million Dollar Mistake, gunning it on cold tires, and was lucky he didn't end up in traction. Mr. Bourdais apparently has only the vaguest notion of racecraft when he is put in a situation he's never been in before; and he is still hitting things in the pitlane. We are considering putting kerb feelers on his car or perhaps making him wear a prescription helmet visor. Mr. Monteiro is doing quite well for a rookie, although he is still getting caught in traffic too frequently and needs to up his aggression quotient -- however, he has one of the best coaches in racing and we believe he will find his way to the front before the season is over. The Official Pink Dance Frock goes to Bourdais this weekend. Bruno has been punished enough with his new theme song. On to Laguna Seca. Pedro "El Guapo" Morales Demoralized Morale Officr We ate all the pies! Last edited by Liz; 1 Jun 2003 at 20:57. |

PRESS RELEASE
2/6/2003 Michel Takes First Career Victory And about bloody time too! Great race from Michel. Under intense pressure for a lot of the race, he held off all the others to take a superb victory. Great race all round. Carpentier made the day even sweeter with his third place. 1-3 for DBR. Unfortunately, Moreno was taken out by the idiocy of Bruno. Sumjurc Ramdmicar Press Officer |

EMERALD CITY RACING
The staff at Emerald City Racing are proud of the performance of Michel Jourdain and the entire Yellow Brick Road Paving sponsored Ford/Lola/Bridgestone team. We congratulate Michel on his 1st Champ Car win. It was an exceptional weekend under the lights at the famed Milwaukee Mile. Michel takes the championship points lead leaving The Mile just like he did last year. Now that he has achieved his first win, we expect many more wins to come. Despite a superior performance by Paul Tracy and his Lollipop Guild sponsored Ford/Lola/Bridgestone car, the weekend turned ugly in the closing laps. We were expecting another 1-2 finish, but our hopes were lost when an improperly installed wheel departed the car for a solo run. “What the ****** ******* **** happened! *** ******, ***-**-*-*****!” Tracy stated over the pit frequency. Remedial air gun glasses have been scheduled for later this week. Emerald City Racing is looking forward to the next race and their advance toward the season championship. KARMA RACING PRESS RELEASE
Karma racing have been mysteriously missing over the past few races but on the championships return to the USA have suddenly re-appeared. the teams information minister (Muhammed Saeed al-Sahaf) has also gone missing and no trace of him has been found. the team have announced that from now on team owner Marcus will be the teams official press officer basically because they cant afford to keep replacing press men every three or four weeks. As for the racing Marcus had this to say " Dunno what happened I didnt bother to go to the Euro races and stayed at home , it was much nicer there" "Our three drivers Roberto Moreno (Coalition of the willing Lola) Darren manning (NO2SPONSORSHIP Lola) and Ryan Hunter Reay (Johnson Nappies Lola) drove some races , some crashed some didnt and we got a few points , end of story" The team are hoping for an improved performance for the remainder of the year. |

Hesketh Racing Press Release
After a short absense due to life, Hesketh Racing are proud to notice they've hit the top 10. The charge up the field has started a lot sooner this year and may even lead to a decent result in the 2003 championship - anything is possible. A great result in Milwaukee and Laguna Seca is next on the hit list. Greg Ritter Press Officer |
