Bob Janes big block Camaro

This one just finished. This is Bob Janes 427ci alloy big block engined '69 Camaro at Symmons Plains in 1971. This year is the first of two ATCC championships he won with the Camaro. He also won '72 but had to compete with a small block that year. Anyway, its oil on canvas. Cheers

Wonderful stuff again Steve. The reflections are great both on the track and the side of the car.

Lovely, thanks for posting it

Brilliant work Steve, Your work in B/W would I think be harder than doing it in colour! Also B/W seems to capture the era as there wasnt a lot of colour photography around then I don't think?
I am too soon are going to have a go with a brush, with incorperating air brush as well Great work!

Hi folks, thank you all for your great feedback. I really enjoyed that one. Have just started on 'Pete' Geoghegans 65 Stang. gi_gav,

I'd love to do some of the Tasman stuff, and hope to get around to it at some point. Trouble is, with my other commitments, ie, commissions, plus my writing jobs, I need to be painting scenes which I know I can sell prints from. It would be great to know people would be interested in the Tasman series, but at this stage, I haven't had many requests for it. Hopefully it'll happen though. I already have idea's in my head for scenes I'd like to do on the Tasman series.
