Drink Le Mans at Night
I spend a lot of my time trying to convince visitors here of just how essential it is to experience the night at Le Mans. So as I've unearthed a few of my old videos, I thought I'd post a few segments on YouTube. Please feel free to add pics, videos or even just words on what Le Mans at night is all about.

This one is from 2002. 11 years ago now. Taken from somewhere near the restaurants on the Mulsanne. You can't see much at all but I hope you'll agree you can get a certain flavour from it......

As I said, 2002 was shot hanging over a fence somewhere out on the Mulsanne so there was little to see other than the occasional headlights.....

i didn't see enough at night last time due to camping away from the track so a late trip to the far end of the circuit for quali is defo on the cards.

I don't know (particularly as these are my own very amateurish efforts), but there is something about watching amateur footage with no commentary other than that from the circuit public address with what always seems to be enhanced sounds from the cars that brings it all to life in a way that no super-duper camera-angle, fancily edited professional film can ever hope to do!

I love the old footage of le mans where you can hear the tannoy in the background, usually in english but sometimes in french

or they put music to the footage in the past. love the sound of the car but also the parts with music. remembers my of the nights at the nürburgring with DJs or bands trackside while the race going on a few meters beside.
