Excellent news on the passport front. Who amongst us hasn't spent a day queueing at a passport office the day before a long booked holiday?

We are hopefully all sorted to go now, all the brexit boxes for getting the truck over with the car ticked, that’s before even thinking about all the COVID hoops we’ve had to jump through, the ACO Covid protocol document is 26 pages long…

We are car 436 in the Fun Cup race on Friday afternoon and I’m racing with my dad and brother, most likely one of the few British teams as it’s a French series and most British teams still race in the UK series, I believe we are also first session out on Wednesday morning

It's interesting to note your comments concerning the race car. Most of my historic mates have had no form filling to do. Just loaded up and crossed on the ferry.

All the teams going over to Europe that are racing in the likes of ELMS & GTWC have had to do something called a carnet now since brexit which allows for the temporary export of goods. You basically have to list everything in the truck and they check it when leaving the UK and when you are leaving France

I've been much more bothered passing from F to the UK,with an empty Merc van and the trailer! When back, I had an Escort on the trailer and the van was almost fully loaded and nothing happened… They are more focused on how much cash you travel with, 10 K€ is the limit.

The Fun Cup enduro race sounds amazing, have fun!

Well guys, I know that some intrepid explorers from the UK are already on their way to France (or are about to be). I'm totally gutted to be missing it again, but I wish everyone who is making the trip a safe journey, hopefully largely hassle-free and a great event. I didn't believe this time last year that I would be missing it for a second year running, but I'm absolutely determined to be back at La Sarthe in 2022!

Otherwise he will have to stow away on the ferry to get into France and hop on one of those rubber dinghies with the Syrian lads on the way back.

No they charge to much for a one way trip on those dingies, will just hide in the back of someones car amongst the camping gear.
