Martin Schanche Escort Xtrac

Theres always been a question I have wondered.

When Mike Endean and Gartrac built the Escort Xtrac why was it built as a RHD machine when I would of thought it would of been LHD?

i think it was for weight distribution, when ford designed the escort it was rhd and therefore all the stuff in the car was designed so that the car was to an certain degree ballanced..?

if you jack up an 106 rhd just at the hardspot between gearbox and engine you will notice that the car will tilt to the right as you look at it, yet jack up the same car exept in lhd and it will remain perfectly level.

Im not sure if thats why the rhd shell was used, i dont think there is any handleing gain tho...
