Yeah, but it’s always the drivers championship the fans and media follow first and foremost in any motorsport there is a drivers title

Citroen could pull out of the WRC following the Peugout WEC announcement:
https://www.motorsport.com/wrc/news/...lappi/4596696/ So that would leave Ogier heading to Toyota and Lappi looking for a seat. It would also leave a pretty depleted WRC field (never that big to start with) - if M-Sport struggle for budget again (as they clearly did this year) then it's just the Toyotas and Hyundais in the top class. Not good. |

Not what we need at this time. No news on any more manufacturers coming in, so it’s a shame if Citroen leave.
I just hope they haven’t done a VW and spent lot of money on a car they will never race |

I don't know whether they'll run next year and then knock it on the head once the Peugout WEC campagin starts or if they'll just bail out now? |

Just heard a great podcast by Autosport’s David Evans about the cancellation of Rally Australia and it’s future. Very nicely done it was

So Citroen is gone after Ogier decides to leave and there wasn't a lead driver available for 2020 according to them on Facebook. Sad news, not gonna lie.
https://www.facebook.com/citroenraci...type=3&theater I guess this means Ogier to Toyota then? |

Not what we needed at this time, we needed as many manufacturers to stay. Gonna be a rush for seats now

Whilst the pullout wasn't unexpected given the recent "Peugeot to WEC" announcement the manner in which they've done it is pretty classless. They may as well have just kicked Lappi in the balls "no lead drivers available" - not a problem when you don't have a lead car. Lappi and Ostberg would have been fine, Lappi and Breen would have been fine. Very poor from Citroen.

Yeah, but what else do you expect after their treatment of Meeke? They have been pretty classless of late

Not at all a surprise - and typically classless from Citroen, as had been their wont recently.
The WRC needs to sort out the future regs, and how they're going to work. PSA have decided that the WEC hybrid Hypercar regs are better for them than the WRC regs....It should be a wake up for people. |

Any news about hybrid rules? How will M-Sport cope with that, I'm afraid we will see only Hyundai and Toyota in near future.

If anybody remembers the way that Peugot exited the WEC, pulling the plug with the cars, drivers et al stranded in South America, then Citroen's action is no surprise at all. Knee jerk or what!
