I think you'd have to question the Euroformula.

New F4+ category based in Southern Europe. Bit like GB3.

Alessio should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I'd expect this year to be the last of the Dallara 320 in Europe. It's hardly like the old days, but Euroformula still kind of follows the original ethos of F3 when everyone else has moved onto homogenisation. Eurocup-3 might be the nail in the coffin. It just fills the gap in the market that Euro Open sat/sits in, but with the homogenised formula instead.

Sad to see 'F3' come to this but it all makes sense - why spend £200,000 to drive a Mygale/Spiess combo that will never compete against the guy in the £350,000 brand-new 'factory' ASM F307/Mercedes? Not changed that much if you're comparing Prema and Arden, but at least the series organisers can say they're all in the 'same car' so it's fair.

The Dallara is a superior product, but the best way to prepare to drive an overweight turbo barge in future is to drive a slightly slower overweight turbo barge now.

Fair point. Conversely, 'OG' F3 was great for developing feedback. I know it didn't go much further than dampers or flaps, but it used to be the only place for juniors to hone the ability of refining a car outside of F1 test roles or factory-GT racing once F3000 was sanitised. Thought that was cool, but I guess a lot of the future F1 drivers are doing a lot of that in simulators nowadays.
